A recent change to my schedule has me commuting an extra two hours a week. Instead of looking at the extra time as an annoyance, I decided to make more use of the Podcasts app on my iPhone. However, the more subscriptions I have, the less organized they are in the Podcasts app. I have a variety of Podcasts on my iPhone, but I don’t want to be listen to meditation Podcasts while I’m driving down he road. That’s where the ability to create your own stations comes in handy.

Here’s how to organize Podcasts into stations:

1.    Open the Podcasts app.

2.    Tap on My Stations at the bottom of the screen.

3.    Tap add (+) New Station.

4.    Type the title you want for your New Station, then tap Save.

5.    Scroll through all the Podcasts shown and tap on the ones you want included in the station. A purple checkmark will appear beside the podcasts you’ve chosen. If you want all your podcasts in the station, toggle Include All Podcasts On.

You may also use the already named On-The-Go station to organize podcasts.

1.    Go to My Stations

2.    Tap On-The-Go

3.    Tap Add at the top of the screen

4.    Scroll through the Podcasts shown and tap on the ones you want included in the station.

5.    On-The-Go will play in the order the episodes appear in the list. You can tap Edit and drag to change the order of the list.
