Review: A Stylish Laptop Bag with Room for a Lot More

If you regularly need to carry a MacBook (or similar-sized laptop) along with an iPad, you need a backpack or messenger bag or briefcase that can handle them all. The Venturo Backpack Sling ($119.95) from Moshi is a hybrid backpack and briefcase that can accommodate a tablet, laptop, and a lot more.

Venturo

Like all Moshi bags, the Venturo is well constructed and sports a stylish design and nice selection of alternating colors. For $30 more, you can get it in leather. Either way, it looks good and is a step up from the backpack you used in school!

The Venturo has many compartments. I counted ten, including velcro and zippered pockets, and a mesh retainer for a drink, yet it still has a slim appearance. It's not a two-strap backpack, more of a sling, but it's quite comfortable with ventilated padding and an adjustable strap.

Pros

  • Well constructed
  • Stylish design and colors
  • Many compartments
  • Slim appearance
  • Comfortable with ventilated padding

Cons

  • Single-strap design
  • Leather version is $30 more

Final Verdict

The Venturo Backpack Sling from Moshi is suitable for back to school or the boardroom and offers a ton of compartments without looking bulky.
